Zurich, 1 July 2021 – SUSI Partners has moved their Zurich-based operations to Greencity, a certified green district with an innovative clean energy concept. The office building Pergamin I, in which SUSI has taken up residence, meets the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design’s (LEED) highest standards, enabling the company to keep their greenhouse gas emissions arising from office use to an absolute minimum.
Marius Dorfmeister, Co-CEO and Global Head of Clients, comments: “SUSI stands for sustainable investments. By moving our base of operations to a certified green building, we ensure that our strategy is also reflected in our day-to-day operations.”
Greencity meets the requirements of the Swiss 2,000-watt society, a concept originally developed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich). It envisions a society in which the average primary energy usage rate in developed countries does not exceed 2,000 watts per person (i.e. 48 kWh per day). This is achieved through a combination of energy efficient buildings, on-site solar power generation, climate-friendly mobility options such as car-sharing and parking spaces equipped with EV charging stations, and an innovative district heating and cooling system.
Marco van Daele, Co-CEO and CIO, concludes: “Greencity’s energy concept and our investment strategy build on the same pillars: renewable energy supply, energy efficiency and integrated solutions for the use of clean energy. A perfect match.”
