SUSI Partners announces change in leadership
Zug, 4 November 2019 – After 10 years at the helm of fast-growing Swiss fund manager SUSI Partners, founder Dr Tobias Reichmuth will hand over management of the company to designated Co-CEOs Marco van Daele, who will also continue in his role as Chief Investment Officer, and Marius Dorfmeister (Global Head of Clients). The change will take effect on 1 January 2020 and follows a recent expansion of the firm’s Executive Management, which also includes Roman Binder (Chief Operating Officer) and Yves Frey (Chief People Officer).
Marius Dorfmeister recently joined SUSI Partners from RobecoSAM, a Zurich-based sustainability investor, where he had worked since January 2017, serving first as Head of Clients & Marketing and Member of the Executive Committee and most recently as Co-CEO. He has more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry, covering portfolio management, sales and client relations roles. In various leadership positions, he has helped steer financial organisations through different stages of expansion.
Since its foundation in 2009, SUSI Partners’ innovative approach has ensured continuous growth. Today, the company is a leader in financing the energy transition, with more than EUR 1 billion of investor commitments and over 50 employees in five different locations in Europe and Asia. More than 90 infrastructure investments across five funds contribute to achieving global climate goals by reducing CO2 emissions.
Tobias Reichmuth comments on his decision: “In any given phase of a company’s development, founders have to ask themselves who might be most suitable to head operational management. Our 10-year anniversary, a solid financial foundation and the expanded Executive Management provide a great opportunity for this change in leadership. I look forward to supporting SUSI’s next growth stage as Chairman of the Board.”
As of 1 January 2020, Tobias Reichmuth will take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors, with current Chairman Björn Bajan assuming the Deputy role.
